Clinical Counselling in Vancouver and online

Counsellor in Vancouver, Evanna Kieran, Vancouver Counsellor, RCC

Welcome, it’s nice to meet you.

I’m Evanna (She/Her), a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in Vancouver, BC.

I work with people who are seeking fulfillment in their lives and relationships, by allowing space for their emotions in a healthy way. Whether your problems are new, or you’ve been carrying them for a long time, I believe we each have the capacity and strength to move through difficult experiences, towards contentment and positive change.

Being human involves experiencing the ups and downs of life. Inevitably, we will go through difficult times that negatively impact our wellbeing. I help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, as well as supporting individuals who wish to develop skills and awareness to improve their wellbeing.

My therapeutic style is compassionate, calm and trauma-informed, drawing from a a range of therapeutic techniques including emotion-focussed, mindfulness-based and cognitive-behavioural.

I see individual adult clients in-person in Vancouver and virtually across the province,  tailoring sessions to fit your needs. Therapeutic fit is important to ensure you feel comfortable and supported and I would love to discuss how we might work together.

Lets’s chat - you can book a free 15-minute online consultation to see if I might be the right fit for you.

Individual Counselling

I offer virtual and in-person sessions for adults who are looking for a supportive, warm and non-judgemental approach to life’s challenges.

Standard sessions are 50 minutes. I offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation as a recommended first step for new to me, or new to therapy clients, to see if we’re a good fit. This is a chance to share some background on your reasons for seeking counselling and to discuss your goals and my approach.

Extended Sessions

Extended sessions are offered for individual adults and are 80 minutes in length. These sessions offer an opportunity for deeper exploration into emotions, thoughts and feelings. They can be helpful in identifying patterns in thoughts or behaviour, or exploring underlying issues that may be impacting your life today.

A longer session can be particularly beneficial in allowing more time to to reflect, process and integrate insights and build a strong, therapeutic relationship.

Get to know me

In addition to a Master's in Counselling Psychology, I hold a Masters in Communication and have over 15 years' experience working with people. I have completed additional trainings in Complex Trauma and Attachment. I have completed multiple trainings in yoga, breathwork and mindfulness meditation, often weaving these practices into my counselling work.

I was born in Ireland where I lived for most of my life, immigrating to Canada five years ago. This experience informs my counselling, and I enjoy working with clients from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, navigating the unique experience of seeking belonging in a new country and maintaining a connection to their culture.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy being outdoors, moving my body (I love yoga and strength and conditioning training), trying new restaurants, spending time with friends, exploring BC and cozy nights in with my adorable cat and my husband.

No matter how deeply we have been wounded, when we listen to the inner voice that calls us back to our bodies, back to wholeness, we begin our journey.”
